Egypt & Jordan 12/2012

To call it a trip of a lifetime is an understatement.  I cannot recommend or insist enough, that if you have a passion for antiquities, mystery sites, pyramids, that you must go to Egypt and see the sites in person, for yourself. Photos, documentaries, etc, these methods cannot capture it's vast splendor. I was fortunate to be able to go for an extended vacation/ research trip at the end of 2012. The culture, the people, but especially what remains of the Pyramid builder's monuments leave you breathless. The artistry, the detail, the wisdom etched in every wall of every site. I'll be posting some photos here, with more to come. The photos so far are of the Sphinx, Pyramid at Giza, the Nile at Sunset-(2 pics), on my way to Abu Garab, & sarcophagus of Horus are all in Egypt. The 1 camel garage, boy with camel , the donkey ride & the Treasury are in Petra-Jordan, the arch is at Jarash-Jordan, and the camels in desert are at Wadi Rum-Jordan. The man in cave serving tea & plate of food are in Petra.( not in that order) The food was made by a Bedouin, who invited us up to a private cave for lunch! We took a donkey to get up there, fun!
Our trip had 2 archeological experts in Egypt, they had different views at times which was very enlightening & provided a lot of food for thought. Our group became very close, and some of us remain in touch.  I hope to go back, it was amazing.Enjoy a glimpse of this fabulous trip!
